Logic – BJJ, Muay Thai, and Fitness

We’ve had many kids from Karate schools join our gym after they and their parents grew disgruntled with the classes. There are a number of reasons for this but they mostly fall into the following categories

1. If you teach children to punch and kick, then any time they feel threatened, this tends to be what they will do. A punch or kick is often a disproportionate response. This can easily lead to a visit to the principal’s office.

2. The children grow bored. Many Karate classes have children standing in lines repeating Kata’s – pre-arranged dance moves that have little to do with self-defense. Once you’ve seen one Kata, you’ve seen them all.

3. Its not very effective. The coach can’t effectively defend themselves against a resisting opponent. How can they coach others to do so?

In a world where we want our children to be both kind and able to defend themselves effectively, there is no better option than Jiu Jitsu. Jiu Jitsu is the ‘gentle way’. Using others’ aggression and force against them, we teach children how to deal with bullies by being confident, strong, and assertive. We coach practical self-defense such as grip breaks, takedowns, and pins to dominate bullies whilst minimizing the use of violence to only exactly what is required to stay safe and healthy and nothing more.

The consistent outcome is children who are confident, happy, and fit, who make friends easily, and are leaders to whom others look. Give your child this gift and contact us now to arrange a Free Private Introductory Lesson, worth $150.
